Book Signing

In January, Jillian read The Mother-Daughter Book Club by Heather Vogel Frederick. She loved it so much she had me read it and started a club with her friends. The first book is about a book club reading Little Women and then the second book has the club reading Anne of Green Gables.

Jillian got to meet Heather Vogel Frederick at Barnes and Noble today. Jillian took her books to have them signed. She was so excited to meet one of her favorite authors! Mrs. Frederick even told her about the next book she just finished that will be coming out in September and she said she'd love to come visit our Mother-Daughter Book Club as long as we promised to feed her. What a fun honor! She was so lovely and gracious and Jillian was walking on air. I hope we work something out for a visit with her so all the girls can meet her.

What an awesome author! Just the fact that she's so nice, makes me want to read her book.

She said, "You know I visit book clubs?" I asked how much she would charge and she looked shocked. "Nothing. Just feed me."

Jillian looks so happy. She called on the way home and sounded just as excited. I am so pleased for her. Papa Marshall
